The original "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" was re-released several times, per Wikipedia. My mom took me on the city bus to see the 1952 re-release at the glorious old Carolina Theater in downtown Charlotte.

One of my few great memories with Mom. I haven't seen it since but I still remember the wonderful colors and the songs and dances. I can see how it won an award as "the greatest American animated film of all time".

Mom must have been a Disney fan because she also took me to see Cinderella, Dumbo, Pinochio, and she got my dad to carry the whole family to see Bambi at the drive-in! But Sleeping Beauty was the best.

Best memories of my childhood - not the movie so much as riding the bus and talking and laughing with my mother who was a very unpleasant person most of the time.
