7. 6.4 is not much

6 months without a high sugar drink like coke is enough to clear that effect

even diet coke effects me a little but i do drink 1 or 2 a day.

if you eat reasonably and test your blood glucose levels in range, you should be good to go.

on edit just read that last post. glad everything went well, there have been times i might kill for a 5.9.
