My First Organic Med Grow [View all]

I'm in the planning stages.
Probably will happen after the weather cools in late October or November and hopefully after some rainfall because I collect it in a 200 gallon barrel for watering my meds. No chloramine and low PPM.

I am a very small-time grower for personal medical use in a legal state.

My setup (for others to get ideas):

3'x3'x7' Gorilla Tent

6" HyperFan

Two Sun Blaze® T5 HO 24's

Sun System® LEC® Brand 315 Watt Fixture

3 gallon Root Trapper II fabric pots

Fox Farms Coco Loco

Kind Soil

Mephisto Genetics (seeds)


I like Autoflowers because they finish quick, are potent, and have gotten real good over the years.

I'll probably mix some worm castings into the Roots soil prior to using and of course with 2.5 lbs of Kind Soil at the bottom of each container. Maybe I'll add some blood meal, green sand, and more perlite also to the Roots Organics soil.
Gotta be careful with Autos however as they can burn in too rich of soil.
This is a "water only" type grow. No added nutes needed although I may add compost tea now and then or get me some Recharge or both.

I plan to start them in the RT containers they will grow in (important with Autos).
They will get the SunBlaze T5HO light for their first 3 or 4 weeks at a 20 on and 4 off light schedule (20/4). Then I will switch over and they will get the 315W LEC at an 18/6 schedule. I'm trying to save electricity a bit here as my rates are sky high or I'd go with the LEC from the start at 20/4.

I pull the air into my tent via ducting and two cardboard boxes with 12" x 12" HVAC filters attached. Keeps it clean in the grow space.

I'm looking at growing 4 total (if they fit...LOL). 2 - Hubbabubbasmelloscopes and 2 - Chem City Blues.

I expect 60 to 80 days from seed to finish as with most Autoflowers.
