Democratic Primaries

(116,937 posts)I agree, but a few weeks ago another member here was pressuring me to take a loyalty oath to support Bernie when he was supposed to win the nomination (even though less than 3% of the delegates were determined). My response was that I was going to vote for a Democrat in November. A few more exchanges occurred between us until we completed the circle and I again replied to refer back to my previous post where I said that I was going to vote for a Democrat in November.
I believe that it is far more important to be loyal to my country than it is to be loyal to an individual, a political party, or the rules of a Website. While I would be apprehensive voting for Bernie, in the end I expect that when it came time to vote in the general election he would get my vote since the alternative would be disloyal to my country.
