(1,089 posts)They had weeks to vote early. We've known about this virus for over 2 months now...it ain't like it just sprung up yesterday outta the blue. Folks have been emptying shelves of food and supplies for quite some time now.

DeWine says Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R-Ohio) will roll out more information on how the state plans to prevent the spread of germs during the March 17 primary election. For example, DeWine says the 75-plus polling locations set in nursing homes will be moved to a different location. He encourages people to avoid large crowds by voting early at their county board of elections or by mail.
This was a week ago...why didn't DeWine ask to delay his OH's primary right then and there if he thought it was serious enough to declare a state of emergency?
If people are too stupid to plan ahead a little they're probably too stupid to be trusted with a vote, anyway. I submit Ohio's vote in 2016 as Exhibit A.
