People who identify as being of the left, who cannot bring themselves to oppose the worst excesses of right-wing reaction, ought to take a long hard look in the mirror, and accept their share of blame for every Republican victory. Each one of which narrows the chances for achieving any progressive goals, and limits the possible extent of any steps taken towards achieving progressive goals.
