Pete has emerged as a true contender. So glad he's going to make it official and enter the race.

On a side note, Celerity, I saw the back and forth between you and DU member "Brush" about Pete firing South Bend's police chief and Pete admitting it was his biggest mistake. Personally, I think it's admirable for a politician to claim ownership of mistakes and admit it publicly. Let's face it, who among us doesn't make mistakes? That said, too many elected officials try to sweep their miscues under the carpet. Deny, spin, dodge the question. Pete hasn't done that. He's accountable for his decisions.


President Obama, who is universally loved here at the DU (and for good reason), also had such moments:
