Rhodes scholar
Afghan War vet
Wildly successful Mayor
Speaks 12 (?) languages
Re-elected Mayor with 80% of vote in then-Governor Mike Pence's state
Married to a school teacher, ect.

He is brilliant, but speaks plainly. He is well-versed on all issues, but doesn't use standard politi-speak. He is authentic. And, as you found, immensely likable.

Oh, and I hear he's gay. I hope we find out as a country that being gay - or african-american, or any other minority - is no longer a factor in judging the character of a candidate. Because in this election cycle, character should matter most.
