2. I shared my story with the Mayor.

In what was one of the most surreal moments ever, I met with Mayor Pete last Monday in Creston, IA. We had a conversation in a local coffee shop in Creston, IA, prior to a town hall event.

I shared the struggle that families have when faced with the need for long term care. Every single issue I raised with him is covered in his policy. He listened, which is what he does so well, and he shared a little about what he faced when his father was ill and they thought long term care might be needed.

Mayor Pete is the real deal! I'll never forget this moment and I'm still pinching myself! And, I got my copy of Shortest Way Home signed.
