I would like to see him give a subtle but understandable nudge to the proceedings because you're so right:

These are not normal times and this is not a normal election. There's just too much at risk to screw around. I positively cringe when I hear people say: Well, this year I'm voting my heart rather than my head.

If there's one election cycle when Dems needs to play the game smart, even ruthless, it's 2020.

Otherwise?

We're turning the country over to the alt-right jackals and vultures. God help us all!
