Have you tried using it?

I have had some serious pushback from people when I pull that thing out. It seems very "big brother"ish... maybe that is just my generation who had to live through the year 1984, but anytime I pull that thing out and look someone up, they freak out that I have their age, street and registration information at my fingertips. I have kinda stopped using it because of that.

Anyone find ways around this?
