This is the usual Republican negotiation. They start with infinity and then the Dems voluntarily give up half of infinity because half of infinity is better than a whole infinity.

Just say no. If they want to talk about making government work more efficiently for average Americans, strengthening the middle class, and solidifying health care, education, and retirement security, gutting the griftres out of the financial markets, then let them bring forward very specific proposals. With the numbers we have in the House, we shouldn't have to accept any of Musk's plans unless they are very favorable toward working middle class Americans. If not, then 2 years of statement is a good alternative.
