6. Trump has a problem. He didn't want the job the first time around.

But it was an appeal to his ego that he couldn't deny.

Then he stuffed up so badly and so many skeletons came out of the closet that led to a really long list of convictions, that he really didn't have a choice to not run again.
His ego wouldn't like it in jail!

So Trump readily accepted help from Putin and Pence the first time, but Pence let him down and Putin is a bit busy with his own problems, so Trump readily delegated to someone equally as deranged as he is.

Hopefully America survives this bromance, and some sane work gets done, but Trump has a history of falling out with others, so who knows.

Trump is in a pickle though, doesn't want to do or understand how to do the job, trusts no one, but doesn't want to go to jail either.
Basically, that leaves him one option, to leave the decision making to someone crazier than he is.

As a sane (?) and empathetic (?) person myself, I should feel sorry for Trump.
Instead, I choose to laugh.
