The military has over 1.3 million active troops, and military chaplains serve over 200 faith groups. As you have stated numerous times, you are an Evangelical Christian. Do you believe that non-Christians have a place in the U.S. military, or in the DOD civilian workforce? Will you pledge to assure the religious freedom of all military and civilian employees of the Defense Department? Will you pledge to keep the DoD free from religious tests for enlistment, employment, or promotion?
