but the notion that Trump is still trying to be a good president is absolute codswallop. Trump isn't trying to be a good president; he doesn't even know what that means. What he wants is to be an all-powerful president who can do whatever he desires and get away with it, while grifting as much money off the treasury and his MAGA marks as possible. In his mind that's good because it's good for him, and fuck the rest of us. He is not trying to be a good president, and the editor-in-chief of Politico has his head so far up his ass that he can see out his own nose.
