Take that back! Former Trump Admin member says ADORABLE ragamuffin Kash Patel "won't make it through summer"

A former Trump administration insider on Saturday signaled that a cabinet member facing a rash of controversies could be on his way out.

Miles Taylor, who served as Homeland Security Chief of Staff in the first Trump administration and is now a prominent critic of President Donald Trump, told MS NOW anchor Alex Witt that FBI Director Kash Patel's job could be coming to an end — and suggested it could be soon. He cited reports of Patel's alleged alcohol consumption as something that Trump could ultimately see as reason to dismiss him.

"I think it's remarkable that he's made it this far, genuinely," Taylor said. "And if there's one thing that the president doesn't tolerate, it's excessive drinking."

Patel has not been the only Trump administration official facing claims of alcohol abuse, or other reported scandals, he added. But the circumstances could look different to Trump.

This Steve Benen piece on MS Now's "Maddow Blog" about Trump's disrespect for women in media is a must-read

‘Horror show’: Trump still can’t restrain himself when lashing out at women in media
The president continues to struggle to treat women who cover the White House with any modicum of respect.

The problem isn’t exactly new. Last fall, there were a series of stunning incidents that made the problem painfully clear:

Nov. 14: En route to Florida for one of his many golfing weekends, Trump fielded a few questions from reporters on Air Force One. When a Bloomberg journalist took the opportunity to ask about one of the Jeffrey Epstein emails, the president snapped, “Quiet, piggy.”

Nov. 18: When Mary Bruce, ABC News’ chief White House correspondent, asked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, about the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Trump whined that the reporter’s question might “embarrass” his “guest,” seemingly unaware of the fact that it’s not the job of the press to protect the feelings of foreign authoritarians. Trump went on to describe the question as “insubordinate,” as though the journalists were somehow employees of the Saudi royal family or the White House, before telling Bruce she’s “terrible.”

*****

The president, in other words, remains exactly who he appears to be. He’s the man in the E. Jean Carroll case. He’s the one on the “Access Hollywood” recording. He’s the Republican who suggested some of the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct weren’t attractive enough to assault. He’s the politician who vowed to “protect” women, “whether the women like it or not.”

Trump STILL WON'T ADMIT MURDERING 160 IRANIAN CHILDREN. "That's under study right now and we'll give you a report"

While he doesn't state it explicitly, I'm assuming the report will be coming "in two weeks."

The MAGA-verse is fuming after a world leader welcomed former President Barack Obama with open arms.

On Thursday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney posted a warm greeting to Obama on X, writing, “Welcome back to Canada, President @BarackObama,” as the former president arrived in Toronto to deliver a keynote speech at a Canadian think tank.

The welcoming post sent the MAGA world into a frenzy, with some figures claiming that Obama, 64, was violating federal law.

Susie Wiles given the "Independent Women's Forum's Barbara K. Olson Woman of Valor Award"

https://www.thedailybeast.com/petty-white-house-feuding-about-leaks-exposed-in-leaked-email/

White House spokeperson Liz Huston told Politico in a statement, “There are hundreds of White House staffers faithfully serving the American people, all of whom are held to strict policies—including a zero-tolerance policy against speaking to the media without explicit authorization from the Communications Office—to ensure the President’s message is communicated clearly, accurately, and directly to the American people.”

Wiles generated a flurry of headlines late last year when Vanity Fair published an interview in which she criticized a host of top administration officials, including the president and his “alcoholic’s personality.” All that buzz, apparently, was acceptable.

Wiles, who was honored Thursday with the Independent Women’s Forum’s Barbara K. Olson Woman of Valor Award, was asked how she communicates with the press, if at all. Wiles said she became more cautious about the process since becoming chief of staff.

“And if I do, I get in trouble at the White House,” she said. “I have a couple of friends in the reporter ranks, but we keep it to friendship.”

Iowa Ethanol Lobbyist sends text: "I will give you $100" if you show up for V.P. Couch Effer's "rally"

Vice President JD Vance spoke at a “packed rally” last Tuesday in Des Moines, Iowa, touting the Trump administration accomplishments on the economy — but according to the Iowa Starting Line, some of those attendees may very well have been paid to be there.

“I wanted to invite you to join me in seeing Vice President JD Vance this afternoon in Des Moines,” wrote Jake Swanson, an Iowa ethanol lobbyist, in a text message obtained and confirmed as authentic by the Iowa Starting Line.

“I do some work for an ethanol company and so if you’re able to join, I will give you $100, and for anyone that you recruit, an additional $25. No limit on referrals, so if someone recruits a group of 20 to show up, that’s $500.”

Swanson is the president of High Yield Strategies, a consulting firm that specializes in economic development. He’s also served in Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds’ administration as the lead agriculture and energy policy advisor.
