KAMALA HARRIS REACHES HER MAIL IN BALLOT FIREWALL IN PENNSYLVANIA

KAMALA HARRIS REACHES HER MAIL IN BALLOT FIREWALL IN PENNSYLVANIA

JASON EASLEY DONALD TRUMP, KAMALA HARRIS SAT, NOV 2ND, 2024

https://www.politicususa.com/2024/11/02/kamala-harris-reaches-her-mail-in-ballot-firewall-in-pennsylvania.html

"SNIP..............

Good news for Democrats in Pennsylvania, as they have reached their needed ballot firewall of 400,000 votes before election day.

Here are the numbers:

?

Independents are expected to break for Harris by about a 70/30 margin, so the Democratic firewall is expected to be closer to 500,000 votes. Republicans have increased their vote by mail percentage and turnout, but the problem is that much of that vote is coming from smaller rural counties, where there is less overall vote, so it is possible that Republicans are cannibalizing their election day vote in these counties.

Pennsylvania does not appear to be breaking for Trump like he wanted. More Democrats are voting on election day as they traditionally did before COVID, and there is more Democratic vote outstanding potentially on election day than there is for Republicans.

It is difficult to predict what will happen on election day, but Trump would current have to put up some big election day numbers to win the state.

Bad punctuation, a dash would have helped-- simple punctuation. "mail - in"

(Not blaming you, OP poster-- I presume you copy-pasted directly from the article, so it's their fault)

That said, this is GOOD NEWS!

From all I have read about early voting across the swing states, I believe Harris will have no problem winning 'the blue wall' states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin--- as well as the 'blue dot' in Nebraska, which is enough for victory in the electoral college.

Throw in Iowa, and Georgia--- which has had an AMAZING early vote of 80 percent of the TOTAL 2020 vote, with a majority of those being women---

and that's without even beginning to discuss North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada...

If I was a betting man, I'd say Harris will win at least five of those much discussed "seven swing states",
and even has a fair chance of taking ALL of them (with a surprise in Iowa thrown in for good measure!)

MUCH THANKS GOES to DonOLD TRUMP---- whose week-long campaign meltdown came at exactly the right moment!---
but the most credit will belong to WOMEN in the end, is my prediction---
I tip my hat to them!

A Trumper told my wife the reason for the lack of Trump yard signs is they are being saved for the swing states. There are a good number of Harris signs. I am hoping the Republicans are just being complacent, and it will bite them on Tuesday. Voted at 9 am this morning and there wasn't much of a line.

I drove through one of the most conservative counties in IA a few weeks ago (Sioux). There were a few drumpf signs but I pleasantly surprised to see Harris and Melton (for House ) signs. Granted, yard signs are hardly an accurate barometer of the vote but it does make one feel better!

it proves to be more complicated. I live in a country with a parliament: Canada. Much simpler.

Note that we only know how many ballots have been returned by registered Democrats, Republicans, etc. -- not who they actually voted for, although we can probably make a pretty good educated guess when it comes to the vast majority of them...

If someone chooses to go to their early voting site, then they still have to vote by mail-in ballot, although it can all be done in one visit (what they call on-demand mail voting).

Maybe someone from PA will come in and clarify the process...

Early in-person voting in my state is just like Election Day voting -- you vote at a machine. We also have mail-in absentee voting, where you vote on a paper ballot that is mailed in or dropped off at a drop box location.

Apparently, that's not the case in PA -- it seems like all early voting is essentially mail-in voting or "in-person on demand mail-in voting" -- although in situations like these, I always prefer someone with direct experience with the process to chime in rather than relying just on information I've gotten through internet research.

From 2020 official data:

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/PA.html

In 2020, PA voters requested 3.1M ballots.

In 2024, PA voters requested 2.2M ballots.

In 2020, PA DEMS returned 1.7M ballots

As of today in 2024, DEMS returned 972,000 ballots

In 2020, REPS returned 623,000 ballots

As of today in 2024, REPS returned 571,000 ballots

To summarize, over a million FEWER ballots were requested in 2024 than 2020.

REPS have almost met their 2020 totals and DEMS are short 800k ballots.

Of course, 2020 was a unique election because of COVID. But it appears turnout will be DOWN from 2020.

Take a look... tell me what YOU think.

*DEMS had a 1.1M ballot firewall in 2020.

so that is easy to count Democratic, Republican and independent voter ballots submitted in those states. No VOTES have actually been counted, or at least not announced, from those early ballots anywhere--- MOST have not been actually counted yet. Most places will start counting them on election day.

For those same reasons, Republican ballots which have been voted early--- we don't know for whom those Republicans actually VOTED--- and from all the polling that I have studied, it is clear that Kamala Harris will be getting a small portion of those votes--- I'll confidently bet on at least 5%, and up to about 10%-- and possibly even more than that, when it comes to abortion rights....

Not sure if this is a firewall. PA is a day of election state. It needed to be 90% return rate in both sides, even with a lower lead to reach firewall status somewhat. Even then, it will be good news, not firewall.

I know it is counterintuitive but a 100% GOP return rate with a lower lead is better. They cannot expand anymore.

But, it is good news. The big surprise would be if Harris has a 60-40 lead among Indies.
