Tim Walz is leading the Democratic Party.

He is going into the lion's den and taking on the Republicans single-handedly.

He went on FOX the other day and they asked him "who" was leading the Democratic Party?? Walz replied that it was the "people" leading the Party. He said they mocked him for 3 days. He also said that their lips were probably chapped from all the butt-kissing they do for Trump and the Republicans.

Tim Walz is leading this Party. He is talking to people in townhalls in red states and red districts and answering the questions that the Republicans are too fearful to attend and answer.

We should let him know that we appreciate what he is doing.

He is out front in this fight.

The elite class has become spoiled, entitled, privileged.

You used "entitled" correctly in this sentence! (LOL) It's the way that repubs and conservatives and fascists (evidently) have been using the word entitled (and it's many word forms) for years to talk about Social Security and Medicare. Only in the kind of sentence you wrote does it correctly hammer home the "entitled"... privileged... atmosphere of the word that republicans love to banter about.

It's a pet peeve of mine. When done correctly, like you have done, it shows in black and white the difference between repubs and democrats. Only to repubs could something you've paid into all your life with your own hard earned money be titled an "entitlement" and demeaned in the way that "entitled"... used in the form of elitism... conjures.

Are Barack Obama’s and Kamala Harris’ silence a result of deference to secret service advice? Or are they following a politician’s business-as-usual instinct and assuming there isn’t much use engaging this early in the election cycle? Far too often we are left to wonder why Democrats’ messaging seems ineffective, when it turns out our elected Democratic officials just aren’t trying that hard, whether it is a President who doesn’t even hold many press conferences or candidates who shy away from casual appearances on podcasts or avoid hostile platforms. Politics is a contact sport.

Republicans attack Democrats for townhalls in order to "manufacture outrage." Which we know is BS.
The link is from Saturday.

Florida Democrats continued the townhall efforts in Sumter County on Sunday and go to Seminole County next week.

that Chuck Schumer has postponed his book tour because his staff are concerned about his security because so many Democrats are angry with him for voting for the CR. Reminds me of the members of the other side who are afraid to hold town halls because they are now scared of even constituents who belong to their own party.

If they are too scared to defend their decisions or even to talk to the people whose best interests they are supposed to be representing than maybe they shouldn't have run for such important jobs, or consider resigning now.

I don't overcome my own fears very well, so maybe I am hypocritical, but at least I am aware of my own weaknesses, and wouldn't sign up for a job I didn't have the courage required to do it properly for the people who trusted me to do it.

We need more to be brave like Tim, Bernie, and Alexandria.

He seems to appeal to a wide range of voters, including swing voters who are not highly political/policy knowledgeable & vote largely based the candidate's personality.

Remember how people said they voted for GW Bush because he seemed like the kind of guy they could have a beer with? That's the kind of appeal I'm referring to, someone they feel like they could hang out with & talk to.

Like it or not, we need those voters if we want to win elections.

I think Whitmer cannot win Presidency at this time. She is severely hampered by her reddish leaning purple state. She just cannot come out and speak strong. Example, Slotkin. Her state of the union response talked more about Bush and Reagan than about Dems.

Waltz has been good. He was severely clipped in that disastrous debate with JD Vance. His advisors told him he has to be too nice

Next time, there should not be debates. Dems never learn. Debates merely energize the GOP. Trump-Clinton, Pence-Kaine, Trump-Biden (Biden won the election but it was a lot closer than it should have been), Trump-Biden-Harris, Waltz-JD. It does not matter who wins. GOP gets energized by lies. Debates are a remnant of old times for Dems. For the GOP, it is just a war cry. Just look at Schumer who is still thinking of a 2009 style comeback. Schumer, it is not 2009. You have to fight a fascist, not play politics

but it may be the answer to the near future for Democrats. I love him to pieces, and the persona he puts out to the public. I love the fact what you see and what you hear from him is the down-to-earth truth to whom the man is... not some put-on facade.

For the sake of our democracy and our personal freedoms, it may be time to step back and take a backwards step where the presidency is concerned. It's obvious this country hasn't matured enough to accept a female or POC as president. If that is the case, as it seems to be, then I think Walz would be an excellent standard bearer for the Democratic party, and a good presidential nominee.

I just hate I had to write the above paragraph. After 275 years, and many other countries in the world already passing us, it seems like we would have grown up enough to get over gender and skin color. But evidently, there's something deep in the American psyche that just can't clear that hurdle. More's the pity for us. We have a lot of women and POC who are smart, intelligent, and good states people who would make the country proud. I'm just thankful that Walz, like, for example, Raskin, is one of ours.
