Part of our America HAS ALWAYS been in love with Hitler and what he preached. Check out Rachel Maddow's "Prequel", then read David Corn's "American Psychosis," and then pick up a copy -- if you can find one* -- of George Seldes' "Facts and Fascism" as well as Antony Sutton's "Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler". (The last named was a conservative -- old school -- and frequent contributor to Human Events and National Review.)

Fascism runs a thick and bloody stream through 20th century American politics. Prior to WWII, General (and thrice Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient) Smedley Darlington Butler testified before Congress of a plot to overthrow the Federal Government, and with it our democracy, that he, himself, had been asked to lead.

And the beat goes on:
Today, the bulk of Republican politicians comprise a 21st century 5th column of fascist supporters and are open admirers of Putin and Orban. Moreover, the cult hero and leader of the GOP, Fat Donnie, himself, has openly praised Xi and Kim Jung Un, as well as the Saudi Arabian butcher, Mohammed bin Salman. More disturbing, literally millions of us Americans are fully prepared to get bloody -- or at the very least cheer on those who do --should President Biden win re-election.
