(140,913 posts)Yes - my youngest niece who is 18, registered, and voted here in PA in the primary, has been forwarding Instagrams and TikToks and all kinds of memes that have "flooded their zones". They are NOT on Facebook, which they consider "old people stuff". I have no accounts on any of those apps and can really only read what gets posted that will allow me a view or two (my sister does have those types of accounts to monitor though).
THAT is how they communicate and express themselves (something I try to tell DUers when it comes to questions about "where are the ads????" ).
They are very "visual" and use images and video clips of specific circumstances or experiences, as analogies for what they are thinking about at the moment vs putting that down into text-based paragraphs on a page.
Just have to make sure that they follow through and are determined enough to jump the barriers that the GOP most certainly will put before them.
