Whether he did it for money from Theil and other backers, or as a favor to Putin, or because Vance seemed like a fool eager to please Trump in any way, Trump owns the decision. Why Trump can get away with saying stupid to batshit insane stuff and Vance cannot is beyond me, but it appears Vance it not getting a pass.
