In reply to the discussion: Reuters: VP choice down to Walz or Shapiro [View all]Nanjeanne
(5,468 posts)34. Don't know about Harris but Shapiro and Walz are popular with Biden. He thinks Walz is a blast.
This was fun to read.
Biden is a big fan of Shapiros, the adviser said, partially due to his help during the 2020 election, and his role in handing the Democratic Party victories in the key swing state. He successfully defended the state in 19 lawsuits before the election and over 20 filed after the Nov. 3 Election Day, guarding Bidens victory in the state.
Despite his appreciation for Shapiro, however, the senior adviser suggested that he likes Walz even better.
Hes just a blast, the adviser said.
He pointed to a January infrastructure event in Wisconsin, where Walz and Biden mingled with voters over beers.
Biden was in the best mood ever, the adviser suggested and recalled others joking that the Minnesota governor should be brought around more often because he always put him in such a great mood.

All day keep hearing from Scarborough, Chris Christie and Bill Kristol in support of Shapiro.

He has a DUI 30 years ago and has stopped drinking since so I think people can relate to that.

I don't think citing a right wing site like Alpha News is actually giving you the correct information.

This household (2) prefers Walz, Shapiro has some unpopular Israel stances, perhaps?

If this election is truly about passing the torch then Waltz is too old, but I assume is was only lip service

No I'm calling 68 too old to run for POTUS. Having two boomers on the ticket does not feel like passing the torch

I'd prefer Walz but will be OK if it's Shapiro or one of the other top picks, all of whom are
