(3,444 posts)His wisdom, wit and brilliance was plain for all to see here at DU. I never had the pleasure to know him personally, but it was always a special stroke of grace to encounter his steady voice, astounding breadth of knowledge, and his rare and formal sense of fairness and decorum. Whenever I saw The Magistrate's posts, I always stopped to listen and hear his thoughts, to soak in his lovely prose. He will be very sorely missed.
To his family and friends, please know we mourn with you. May you find peace and comfort in what is surely a tsunami of special memories. He seemed to be someone that left a trail of stardust in his wake. This beautiful tribute thread certainly bears witness to that.
