10. There aren't any genes that identify races

Yes there are genes for skin color, but the don't always correlate with observed skin colors. There are genes for eye shapes but they don't always correlate with observed eye shapes. Like eye color and hair texture there are numerous interactions between genes that create what people look like.

"The completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 confirmed humans are 99.9% identical at the DNA level and there is no genetic basis for race."

That's why most of those ancestry DNA sites use location and genetic commonalities to determine ancestry. They are only as good as their data base. As people send in their DNA, those folks are helping to create a better genetic data base for the corporations.

"As for whether race can be found in our genes, the answer is no. Biological ancestry, however (which is distinct from race), is real. Where our forebears came from can be seen in our DNA (to a certain degree), but ancestry does not map onto race, not even close." https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/health-general-science/are-you-there-race-its-me-dna#:~:text=As%20for%20whether%20race%20can,onto%20race%2C%20not%20even%20close.

Race is an unscientific social construct. It was used to provide identification of slaves and marginalize people to allow for economic abuse. Today it is also used to identify groups of people who share social habits and religion.
