21. The difference is that The Apprentice was a "reality" show.

And some think "reality# shows are... reality. Including the one that depicted TSF as a brilliant, powerful, megarich, super businessman.

Way too many people fell for that bilge, and it's a damned shame what has happened to our country as a result.

I mean, I kind of almost get it in a way. I've gotten a bit caught up in a few reality shows myself. It's easy to do, because the producers know how to create a fake "reality" that can be very entertaining to watch. So that I get. But assuming that someone in a reality show is being depicted 100% authentically and what what I'm seeing on my screen is exactly who they are? No, no, no, that's a bridge way too far!

But a scary amount of people evidently did exactly that in the case of The Apprentice. They loved what they saw on that show and said "He, that guy right there would make a great president!" And here we are. Damn it!
