25. This is naked racism in its rawest form

We're talking about Jews, European Jews - not Israel. They're talking about guarding things like the Holocaust Museum.

And you've condemned a race of people based on your ideology.

If this were any other ethnic group, I have a hard time believing it would be allowed to sit on DU so nakedly as this.

When an ideology starts excusing and apologizing for racism, it's a trash ideology.

You know, Jamaica is incredibly homophobic. Notoriously so. Should I, as a gay man, transfer my antipathy for that to Jamaican-Americans? Should I tell them, "I don't feel like being nice to you. Sorry. What happens to LGBT individuals in Jamaica sucks, and my behavior towards you should reflect that."

Of course not. That would be xenophobic and racist as fuck.

Do better. This isn't liberal, progressive, or Democratic.

It's just racist.

Edit: And for those that want to defend the poster's sentiment. Were you also onboard with the treatment of Japanese and German Americans during WWII because of what those countries did? Last I checked, we apologized for that - and paid out - and it's generally regarded as a stain on our history.

Well, here's a new stain in the same vein. Gonna let that sit there and seep in?
