(19,675 posts)But educated women avoid Red Hats like the plague, and Red Hat men are too insecure to date a woman who's their equal or, GASP, makes MORE money than them.
So young men like this are stuck chasing an exaggerated, old-school lifestyle where the man is the breadwinner, the wife is subservient and takes care of the kids, cooking, and cleaning, but somehow they still live the American Dream. His only dating prospects are less educated women with far less likelihood of getting a high paying job to help him as a true partner to achieve shared dreams. His own ego is cockblocking himself.
They never seem to grasp the concept that that American Dream of the 50's and 60's was largely due to UNIONS pushing for better pay, health insurance and fully funded pensions. They then vote for the party who wants to kill those unions and roll back all the benefits they got American workers.
