When talking about the specific black men in question, people tend to use the general term "black men" when in fact they aren't talking about Eric Holder, or, Derrick Pitts, or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, or Walter Mosely, etc. They're talking about a small portion of the black community which does make a difference in close electoral margins, but the name clumping of "black men" is particularly unhelpful.
