This sure is a country of contradictions. I'm encouraged by ad slogans like "be a man, vote for a woman." At the same time I still see a ton of default slouching toward the white patriarchy which is so well-represented by the republican party. It's evident in people repeating the myth that republicans are better at handling the economy and national security.
