away with taxes on overtime pay?

It was never about benevolence.

It’s because the 40 hour workweek is on the chopping block. Overtime will no longer exist as we know it, so there’s nothing to remove taxes from. It’s just more work at the same hourly wage until employees’ bodies are destroyed.
