General Discussion

I am dismayed that I live in a country where a majority of voters chose a corrupt, convicted felon, sexual assaulter, morally deficient man to be our leader and to serve as a role model for our children. I am dismayed that women in states like Missouri voted to enable abortion rights and then voted for the people who promise to take away their rights out of ignorance that federal law takes precedence over state law. But what I am most trying to come to terms with is the sense that we have lost our country to religious fanatics, tech oligarchs, racists and homophobics who want to enact laws to hurt all minorities, and misogynists who see women as nothing but incubators with no rights to economic independence or a successful career. This election has been a giant slap in the face by our neighbors who have not put up a big sign telling us to go die, this is their country now and we are not wanted here.
