(8,823 posts)More a mixture of shock, bewilderment, and confusion. I don't really understand how the American electorate could reject an obviously smart, well-qualified, articulate candidate just because of that person's race and gender in favor of an obviously low intellect person who, in the past, has stumbled/bumbled/fumbled his way through many an address, has antagonized America's foreign allies and, who, most importantly, is a convicted felon! I hate to think it's a simple matter of him hating the same people they do, but maybe that's the answer.
I think Einstein said something to the effect of, "If you do the same thing the same way, you're going to get the same results." We've seen this movie before, so what makes people think things will be different this time? Whatever will they think when tariffs and deportations increase prices at the supermarket and gas prices go up rather than down when they were convinced 666 was a better choice to improve those conditions than Kamala might have been?
As for how I'm coping, I have not watched the news in a couple of days, either local or national, and I plan to stick to that for the entirety of 666's occupation of the Oval Office. I don't want to see his face and/or hear his voice anymore, ever.
