which is different all the rest. I don't think they'll give up French as an official language without a fight, maybe literally. I don't know enough about Nunavut to comment: its population seems to largely be First Nations/Native American and English is not the primary language.

The "let's merge with Canada" people seem to forget that the two countries have gone their separate ways after the American Revolution and have evolved different cultures. It's hard enough for the various sections of the US to get along all the time - and I for one do not want a monarchy.
