Especially this part:

What’s being mourned is the disregard for rule of law in a time when our institutions are under rightwing siege.

I have nothing but disgust for UHC from everything I am reading and no problems with highlighting the disgust and frustration with US healthcare. And I have no tut tutting either for the many frustrated humans commenting about it. Most people venting are angry and rightly so. And I have no problem at all with some of the dark humor it has resulted in.

But..all that said, the rule of law is essential for democracy. Vigilante justice is the type of solution people like Musk would both celebrate when the targets are those he wants attacked and also use as an excuse to impose martial law.
