Been a devoted Democrat ever since.

President Carter was a good man. With the exception of maybe Eisenhower, he was light years ahead of every republican president in my lifetime and he set standards for his successors.

His life post-presidency is a model of modesty and good works. Few come close to his beneficence.

The United States was blessed by his term in office.

Rest peacefully, sir.
