The Huey we were in took an RPG to the tail boom.

We were in gyro on the way down, things happened fast. When we hit, I bounced out of the door and the rotors bent downward, nearly taking my head off. The main roto spun for, I'd say, 30 seconds but shit was happening so fast I can't be sure.

We all survived. But the respect I have for gravity increased exponentially.

If, as been alluded to, the use of Night Vision Devices (which I am sure have improved) would make light pollution from a major city something of a nightmare. Not only is your peripheral vision non-existent, but you become blind. Think of the idiot who shines a flashlight in your face on a dark night, your night vision is shot for twenty minutes.

As for T****, shut up, let the pro's do their job, and feel some remorse and empathy, then shut the fuck up.

People died in a terrible accident, have some respect.
