5. My H had job offers when he first got out of grad school from the Feds and NYS.

He took the job with NYS.

At one point was offered at v good job with Broward County Fl, but the bennies couldn’t compared.

So glad he stayed with NYS for 30 yrs. 6 figure pension and free Medicare A & B, supplemental, and prescription drug coverage. He also gets a large life insurance policy for very little money.

Cost of living in Cap District is much less expensive, too, but salaries are high.
