Most people I heard speaking about politics before the election favored Trump. In the November 2024 election, Pennsylvania saw a greater total number of votes cast for presidential candidates than in 2020. Trump won the state by about 120,000 votes. As an aside, I will mention that for for the entire ten months preceding the November 2024 election, the increase in registered party affiliations among Pennsylvania voters favored the Republicans.
In my local county, over 70,000 total votes for president were cast. Trump's margin of victory in the county was about 20,000 votes. The county's tally, pricinct by pricinct, was announced on election night. If there was chicanery with the vote tally, it would have to have been programmed into the optical reading machines at the individual precincts. I have no evidence to suggest that such chicanery occured.
Here in Western Pennsylvania, I think it was a case of low-information voters being swayed by yard signs, media advertising blitzes, and RW/Putin social media.
