...goddamn government 101.

The republicans control ALL branches of government right now, from Congress to the Supreme Court.

They DON'T HAVE ENOUGH VOTES to independently subpoena anyone, initiate hearings for anything, get ANYTHING out of either body's committees on their own votes.

They can't even use any of the hearing rooms independent of republicans.

They can't initiate impeachment hearings, they can't schedule votes, they can't withstand republicans bringing up and advancing bills which aren't the budget resolution, and even then, likely only in the Senate where they have enough Dems to filibuster what republicans advance to the floor.

ANYTHING they mange with their votes in this Congress will need republican votes. Not many, but for fuck sure, they'lll need 3 in the House and I think 5 in the Senate.

Fucking not in power because not enough Democrats bothered to show up and vote for Democrats. That's the fucking game. You may not like the sound or sight of it, but the majority of people showing up at the polls wins the state, would have won the election.

And I know you're not trying to tell me that all of the whinging over a debate, and then about a high-functioning president who they claimed was too old in comparison with the similarly old opponent, wasn't the whingers' fault, because those idiots don't have a clue about how to practice opposition politics, much less win an election.

Lawd. Who the hell do you think is going to show up at the polls if we don't? Who the hell is going to defend our Democrats to a majority if we don't?

Who the fuck is going to do that for us?
