Exactly the case. Dems pissed away this election framing it about abortions and pronouns. Those are important issues, but that's not where the rage is. The rage is around economic unfairness, and that predates Trump's rise to power.
Through 2004, for decades, the Gallup "Right/Wrong Direction" polls shewed periodic pendulum swings from 30% right to 70% right, regardless which party help the most power. Since 2004, "right direction" has only been just slightly over 40% for one brief moment. Americans are pissed, and they are pissed mostly about the economic unfairness issues that Bernie, Elizabeth, AOC and precious few others have been talking about. The Dem Party is oblivious to all of this, even angry that we aren't falling right in line, sending them money when they are doing absolutely nothing to provide leadership, especially on economic fairness issues. It makes people conclude that the Dem Party is mute because they are more aligned with corporate money than with working Americans.
It is no surprise that Bernie is still getting strong support. He is one of the few politicians who has not sold out the average worker.
We need major changes at the top of our party.
It is not just me saying this. I get bombarded by Dem Party requests for donations every day. This morning I got the usual assault on Facebook, so I decided to read some of the comments. I expected to see some people with views as I have expressed, and many others with loyal rank-and-file allegiance to the party. Instead, I read the first 100 comments, and every one of them was angry with the party -- most even more critical than I am.
Yet the party is oblivious and still keeps asking for my money. They are not listening.
