General Discussion

I do not think, based upon some of the comments I've read recently, that some of our friends understand how government works. That includes the three federal branches, as well as the role state governments can and do play. At this point, Democrats are a minority in both houses of Congress. There is not a great deal they can do. However, in states where Democrats are in control, they can file the federal court cases that frustrate the felon's destruction of democracy and human decency. There are also a few non-government groups -- such as CREW -- that at important times can file. Hence, I recently posted a brief essay on this topic.

Note: I will admit that on some level, I would enjoy seeing the Obamas, decked out in black leather jackets and mirror shades, ride Harleys into the White House, and engage in the actions of the prophet Jesus in the temple.
