6. I'm not sure that's true. There were Nazis who stayed Nazis even their cities blown apart...

Perhaps they were ashamed of haven been Nazis, but at least in West Germany a functional and strong democracy rose from the ashes. This was in spite of not having a culture of Democracy as the US does.
