Should include freedoms for everyone, no matter race, sexual orientation, etc. I think this messaging can be achieved without coming off as fringe or insane.

But, the Democrats CAN NOT allow the messaging to be co-opted by far-left groups. James Carville said this best..we do not need far-left groups running anything because they've never WON anything, and winning is everything, stupid!

You're right, though. The right-wing media apparatus talks about fringe leftist issues more than anyone. That is their vector of attack, so they should be starved of content.
