28. For those who did not know, Wil Wheaton did not want to be an actor.

His mother and father forced him into it and made him do it even when he tried to stop. The fact that he came out of this without turning into a drugged out has-been is nothing short of a miracle. He has remade himself on his own terms and is all the better for it.

Good for him. I am glad things went his way after all of that. I have great respect for him.

Having said that, there is a part of me that will always hate him because he had a career as an actor that I did not even get the chance to try for, and yet he did not want to do it. That is like a slap in the face to someone like me, who struggled for decades to even get my foot in the door.

Regardless, he deserves any and all happiness he gets. He was put through the wringer and should have some success.
