(5,831 posts)* that their vote doesn't matter, or that "sending a message" and "punishing Democrats" is more important than winning. There's a scorched earth policy among many who call themselves "critics" or who push the narrative that they "want to help" the Democrats.
>> Do you think they are telling people to vote for independents or republicans?
His negativity toward Democrats will NOT get voters "excited about" Democrats. Even without using your explicit wording, the meaning is clear and the apathy spreads. The recent comment about encouraging people to run as Independents OUTSIDE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY literally is encouraging THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE to oppose Democrats and split the vote. It could not be more clear what's going on here.
>> Funny that Sanders would choose to caucus with (what you claim) he called corrupt, spineless cowards.
If he were serious about wanting to strengthen the Democratic party, then he should join the party and stay in the party. If he can't declare himself to be a proud Democrat, then his "support" of Democrats rings hollow and insincere.
As I've said before it's easy to criticize and run through a laundry list of complaints at campaign stops. It's much harder to make the commitment to get one's hands dirty and actually do something about it. As you say... If you don't see that, we live in different worlds.
