Before revealing who that quote comes from, I'd like to know whether it strikes you as an accurate or inaccurate assessment.

Okay, now I'll let you know (if you didn't know already) that Bill Maher said it on his show on Friday night while interviewing Gavin Newsom.

I realize Maher is a polarizing figure and a lot of DUers resent him, but he make valid points at times, whether you love or hate him.
