4. Hmm. Grabbing back a wee bit of power they abdicated in the continuing resolution (CR)

This is the "next six months = 1 day provision" in the continuing resolution, in which Congress abdicated its ability to terminate the emergency resolution which is the source of Trump's tariff authority.

This resolution was introduced before the continuing resolution and required a vote in both houses within 18 days. The count down stopped when the CR passed, because of the time altering provision. So there was no obligation for the senate to vote on it - but they chose to.

Unfortunately, there is also no obligation for the House to vote on it until 6 or so months from now since the countdown clock has stopped ticking. We'll see what they do.
