In reply to the discussion: Wait till the coffee gets outrageous... [View all]BamaRefugee
(3,878 posts)7. I just looked those up ( I use occasionally too in the afternoon) and it doesn't look good
From Bing:
Caffeine pills are made from caffeine extracted from natural sources such as coffee beans, tea leaves, or cocoa beans1. The caffeine is then purified and combined with other ingredients to create the final pill formulation1.
So the only place in the USA that grows coffee is in Hawaii, and that's already expensive coffee. They won't be using that. I never heard of a tea plantation in the USA either.
So the caffeine is going to be coming from another country, and be subject to tariffs, or the pills themselves from another country and again, tariffs.
At least as it appears after minimal research.

NO. Most caffeine is made from synthetic components in the lab--including in energy drinks & other products

The price of soda has already spiked. Maybe because of the aluminum used for soda cans?

I don't like 2-liter bottles because they go flat if you dont drink them fast.

Thank you. Ludicrous claim and yet you are the only other one calling bollocks.

I'd say $7.50, they'll want the extra buffer for when Trump increases tariffs again.
