As far as impeachment the line of succession is arguably worse than Trump.

If we're still able to vote in mid-terms...
If we're able to flip the House and install Jeffries as speaker...
Then we might be able to impeach Trump AND Vance.
Then either Jeffries or AOC would ascend to the Presidency.

As far as Republicans speaking out...

The only Republicans that might speak out are those that would like to smear lipstick on their pig face for better optics, so as to improve their chance to be "The Dear Leader".

The GOP fully supported Project 2025 which is what we now see happening in real time.
The GOP is an ongoing criminal enterprise intent upon the wholesale destruction of our democracy.
The GOP is intent upon establishing a fully fascist regime that rules for evermore.
The GOP is wholly fascist through and through.

No member of the GOP desires to stop this for they are wholly complicit.

In what world do those that supported and implemented such policy stand and rail against it?

I know of none.
