(5,789 posts)4. There are possibly hundreds there in the same situation
Those that have been deported to tsf's buddy bro country. Those two must have laughed and planned their asses off about more detention jails and millions of $$$ exchanging for this madman/nazi scheme. They were constructing a death camp for those deemed undesirable by this current ICE fiasco.
Kilmar is the poster person for a real big f/u of this administration. Bring it on, Maxine! And bring them all back for their due process. Kilmar was lucky to have a family speak up for him. What about those who do not have family to speak up for them?
Press on. This is just so wrong, but now we have lots of brave souls, and thank goodness, some incredible politicians in a position to bring attention to this barbaric social injustice.

Agreed. A US Congresswoman can't stay in El Salvador for months - she's going to have go back to Washington pretty soon

Correct. He has been ignoring Congress since the beginning and consolidating all power into himself.

I appreciate that she's doing something even if I'm unsure about the strategy.

We need to leave this up to the courts. I don't want to see the entire Dem caucus in El Salvador.

If she's promising this, she must intend to stay and has a way to vote from there.

This will make it easier for the GOP's razor-thin majority to pass legislation
